Patty Wade Bennett is a seasoned professional in the exercise and fitness industry, with a rich history of teaching physical education, adult and senior fitness classes, as well as personal fitness training. Her passion for skiing and fitness has made her a sought-after instructor, particularly known for her popular ski conditioning classes in Aspen, Colorado.
Over the years, Patty has shared her expertise at renowned venues such as the Aspen Meadows Health Club, Aspen Athletic Club, Mountain Chalet Fitness Center, Aspen Valley Hospital Employee Fitness Program, and Pitkin County Senior Services. Her influence extends beyond local classes, having presented at regional conferences for fitness instructors and been featured in prestigious publications like SKI and SKIING magazines for her "In Shape to Ski" workout.
Patty's academic credentials include a Master's degree in Leisure Services and a Bachelor's degree in Health, Physical Education and Recreation. She is certified by the American Council on Exercise and holds various other certifications, including Muscle Activation Techniques (M.A.T.) Specialist (3rd level), A.C.E. Fitness Instructor, Personal Fitness Trainer, and PSIA Ski Instructor. Her leadership roles have included Director of Skier Services - Aspen Highlands, and Aspen Mountain Ambassador.
Originally hailing from Miami, Florida, Patty made her way to Aspen, Colorado where she embraced the mountain lifestyle and learned to ski. Her dedication to the sport was unwavering, and after a few years she achieved an impressive milestone by taking first place in the Aspen Highlands Recreational Ski Race League. This accomplishment was a testament to her commitment and passion for skiing, as she consistently showed up at every race to accumulate enough points to secure the win. Her dedication to fitness and skiing is not just a career but a lifelong passion, inspiring countless individuals to achieve their fitness goals and enjoy the thrill of skiing!
